Brief

Spot Cleaning Stop-Motion

Our intention with the advertisement was to continue with our initial theme that we used for the poster. Our company is Spot Cleaning Company. Because our target audience is so broad we wanted to create an advertisement that is interesting and expresses a sense of humour. We decided that the best way to advertise our company was through stop motion. By discussions and conceptualizing we developed an advertisement that incorporated a short story, our company name and also our slogan.

The story was intended to show what the actual job involved but also to play on the slogan “devouring your dirt”. By doing this we are effectively advertising our company whilst holding the audience’s attention. In taking a creative approach our intention was to make our company memorable and also more interesting. The use of the slogan, the story and the music builds on this intention. We feel that the idea of a vacuum cleaner “devouring” dirt combined with the use of tension building music works well together and ties in effectively with our slogan.

I'll need to take pictures of my screen for when I move onto the photoshop side of things but unfortunately didn't have any software to do this and I know I wouldn't be bothered having to click Command+Shift+4 and then drag to take a photo. So I downloaded this free software for mac at the following website: http://www.yellowmug.com/snapndrag/ which will allow me to take photos of the screen or window and then quickly drag them onto my desktop so I can take the following photo almost immediately. This would  provide with a much better quality than using a camera.
