1. My first precedent is an animation called 'Sintel' I discovered on Youtube last year while watching animations. It was made by the Blender institute which was created by the Blender Foundation who have also made other animations such as 'Big Buck Bunny' and 'Elephants Dream' both of which I've watched. the film was made for the Durian Open Film Festival. It was their animations that broke up the leap to professionally making animations as a career. It made me realise that I could physically take part in something like that and that it is possible. It gave me another stepping stone to getting toward a possible career in animation. Sintel would have to be my favourite one as I love the storyline and how it resembles an heroic saga. It was also very emotional as well which is why it stood out to me. I also recently discovered a game based on the movie is soon to be released. Not sure when, or who's actually making it, but this is related to me more so as my other precedent was going to be from a video game which I also have a passion for.
[e] 2. If I do go with the lineart idea, which I might, then I want my drawing to look as good as something like this which was also created on photoshop. This dog (?) looks like it should be starring in some sort of disney movie (compare to an image taken from Lady&Tramp) and it looks so professional. This is definately something to work toward and I just hope my lineart (should I choose that path) looks as amazing as this one.
I do not own this media
The Blender Foundation owns all rights to Sintel the Movie
Walt Disney owns all rights to Lady and the Tramp
Kuitsuku owns the rights to the lineart (pictured left)
