I tried to do a Blender tutorial on the official Blender website. Supposedly it was for beginners, well that was a big lie. Anyway so everything seemed to be going fine at the beginning. One thing, don't attempt this tutorial if you don't know the first thing about this program. I found myself frantically scanning and opening about 5 tabs to look up the simplest things just because he didn't tell me how he did something. It was at the point of the string where things started going haywire. Basically, I couldn't get the string to look as it should and wasn't able to make the little bobble on the bottom of the balloon or the string around it because he didn't explain what he was doing down to the smallest detail. I then decided I'd just skip to the colouring and background and screw the rest of the balloons when Blender decided it would first delete my string...which I got back by some miracle and then my balloon..which I couldn't get back and so I was left with a crappy looking string and no balloon. I planned on taking a screenshot until blender decided it would just delete everything and that took about 2 hours this morning and an hour last night. I restarted the tutorial about three times but it looks like it was all in vain. fml.
Looks like I'll just use photoshop, at least I had an alternative.
